The new Leh Airport covering an area of 13650 sqm is designed to invite the landscape in. Set to the idea of capturing and framing views the sublime is invoked by the scale and expanse of glass. The roof structure comprises of two segments, each with a 38m span with the columns at 18m intervals. While one segment lifts up from the ground to face the southern sun for the solar panels set on it, the other curves in, to frame views of the mountains beyond.
